Safety Consultant – Casual (NSW)

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining the highest standard of workplace safety of our client’s workplace. This is an autonomous role whereby the Safety Services General Manager will support you but largely you will work independently with Recovery Partners clients located in Perth.

Duties

  • Comprehensive Policy and Procedure Development and Review
  • Development of safety initiates and ‘launches’
  • Audits
  • Training Development and Delivery
  • Coaching Key Personnel
  • Developing KPI and other Measurable Statistics
  • Workplace Inspections
  • Risk Assessments
  • Provision of Advice
  • Comprehensive reporting writing
  • New Business development and maintenance of key customer relations
  • Quality assurance activities
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Cert IV Workplace Safety qualification or higher
  • Minimum 2 years Workplace Health & Safety experience in a Safety Officer/Advisor or similar role
  • Current Police Check (National Police Certificate) – or ability to obtain
  • Valid Australian Driver’s License
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal & written
  • High-Level report writing standards
  • Excellent Organisational & time management skills
  • Intermediate computer literacy, Experience with Microsoft office (testing for Excel & Word may be conducted)
  • Solution-focused outlook with a sense of humour
  • Ability to work autonomously and think outside the square

Desirable

  • Tertiary Exercise Physiology qualifications
  • Cert IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor
  • Return to Work Coordinator Training
  • Auditor Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications and/or skills to perform Manual Handling Training
  • Workers Compensation experience
