Recovery Partners was founded in 2004 by Kelly Brown, MAICD. We began with a clear objective to reduce the human and financial costs of worker injuries and illnesses. The Recovery Partners team are proud of the comprehensive services they’ve delivered in Rehab, Wellbeing, and Safety to thousands of Australian businesses and workers.

We are pleased to invite you to participate in our Injury Triage service and Pre-Employment Health Assessments, if this is something you require.

Injury Triage

Recovery Partners provides a tailored Injury Triage service designed to support early intervention and reduce lost time incidents. Our Injury Triage team will:

  • Contact individuals within 5 working hours after being notified of the incident.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders (including your company, insurers, treating doctors, treatment providers).
  • Provide medical advice, arrange medical appointments and attend if required.
  • Facilitate RTW plan where required.
  • Refer for ongoing management after 7-10 days.
PEHA

Recovery Partners offers both physical and psychological pre-employment assessments as required. This enables a holistic evaluation of physical capacity and psychosocial suitability, supporting more informed decision-making about fitness for role and reasonable adjustments.

Physical PEHA

Recovery Partners’ physical pre-employment assessments can help you identify if an applicant can perform the inherent requirements of the job, to identify risks, and to determine if risks can be reduced. During the physical assessment, the candidate will be asked to complete a range of different components depending on the purpose of testing and role dependency. This includes:

  • Drug and Alcohol Testing.
  • Physiological Measures – height, weight, BP, heart rate and BMI.
  • Range of Motion – testing flexion, and extension of the following areas (cervical, lumbar, shoulder, knees and ankles).
  • Functional Testing – testing neural signs (lumbar), shoulder impingement, squats, kneeling, sit up test, cardiovascular step test and push up test.
  • Foot and Postural Screening – windlass test, single-leg heel raise test and foot/ankle issues.
  • Manual Handling – lifting different amounts of weights – waist to floor, waist to shoulder, bilateral lift/carry and unilateral lifting/carrying (both left and right).
Psychological PEHA

Psychological testing is an objective strategy to assess the suitability of a candidate for a job. These assessments strengthen your selection decisions by providing accurate, reliable and impartial information on a candidate’s strengths and weaknesses in relation to inherent job tasks. During the psychometric assessment the candidate will be required to complete 2 or 3 tests from the below assessment portfolio (purpose of testing and role dependent).

  • Cognitive Aptitude Test.
  • Mechanical Reasoning.
  • Basic Skills Test.
  • Computer Literacy and Internet Knowledge Test.
  • Personality Inventory.
  • NEO Five-Factor Inventory-3 (NEO FFi-30.
  • Workplace Safety Profile (WSP).
  • Coping Strategies (CSA).
  • Assessment 2: PTSD Checklist 5 (PCL-5).
  • Brief-A.

The benefits of these assessments include:

  • Suitable, capable employees fit for work.
  • Reduction in physical workplace injuries.
  • Reduction in psychosocial injuries.
  • Reduction in claims and insurance costs.
  • Match the physical/psychological capacity of the employee with the role.
  • Candidates may be made aware of previously unknown medical conditions and physical limitations.
