During the early stages of his studies as a Mechanical Engineer, Nathan found his true passion to assist people overcome the barriers faced when recovering from injury. He has developed this passion into a career and now leads Recovery Partners into the sunshine state, Queensland.

Nathan completed studies in Exercise Science, and qualified to become an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. He has worked with several companies as a treatment provider. Here, Nathan specialised in performing outcome focussed work related activity programs. He instructed hydrotherapy treatment programs alongside general health and wellbeing initiatives whilst working with clients suffering from chronic lifestyle diseases.

Nathan treatment background allowed him to then diversified into a return to work consultancy role; working on accounts such as defence, aged care, transport and the manufacturing industry with a national workplace rehabilitation provider. Nathan has played an active role in the delivery of pre-employment medical assessments, ergonomic assessments, manual handling training and has assisted self-insured employers meet their injury management obligations.

Nathan has completed postgraduate studies within the field of WHS with the completion of a Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety. In his role with Recovery Partners, Nathan has worked with a range of national clientele to identify hazards across a variety of business units and industries. Nathan has worked with companies to create WHS systems, develop national injury management procedures, research and develop safe operating procedures and training programs. He has worked with all layers of management and workers to implement and deliver safety initiatives. His eye for detail, focus on consultation and background in the workers compensation arena has assisted companies to adopt the right approach.

Nathan’s experience and insight allows him to holistically participate with companies striving to improve safety and injury outcomes in the workplace.
